On behalf of Zeiss SAM is searching for a Sales Manager Nordic, Microscopy Division – location Denmark or Sweden 

This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced sales executive to join a global and top professional market leader and a dedicated performance driven team. As Sales Manager Nordics you will be in a position to assist in the future development of Carl Zeiss in Nordics from strategies to implementation. 

The Challenge
The position is new and it will be defined and developed in close co-operation with the Senior Director, Microscopy Division. The main challenge and objective will be people management and performance development. 

This is a field-based role with extensive travel requirements and an expectation that the majority of working time will be spent supporting the field team and in customer-facing activities. You may be living in either Denmark or Sweden. 

The new Sales Manager Nordics, Microscopy will take up the following responsibilities

  • Coaching, leading and managing a team of experienced field sales managers operating across the Nordic Countries
  • Driving sales performance while always keeping focus on customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate increasing project pipelines and leading the strategic co-operation with existing and new key accounts
  • Leading the implementation of new digital sales tools and further development of the sales and business development process as well as improvement of the follow up and forecasting processes 

Experience and background
This challenge calls for an experienced sales executive with a minimum of 3 years proven track record of leading a complex, capital equipment sales team across Nordic countries. 

Your educational background can be commercial, technical or other as long as you can recognize the below characteristics:

  • Proven experience of key account management, negotiation and sales of complex, capital expenditure projects
  • Experience with sales forecasting, market research and analysis and preferably familiar with development of marketing plans
  • Experience of working within cross country complex, portfolio organization. Ability to create own networks to quickly achieve results and drive customer success.
  • Familiar with industrial and academic research environments and understands the different requirements and approaches needed for the different customer sectors.
  • Experienced with long-term project sales.
