The position
The overall purpose of the Key Account Manager role is to identify, develop and execute initiatives that drive sales and market share growth at selected key customers and customer groups across Nordic. Together with the Vision Care sales team the KAM is accountable to deliver this in a compliant, profitable and sustainable way with pharmacy chains and wholesalers in Sweden and Norway dealing with our consumers eye care products.

Key responsibilities:

  • Defines long term customer strategy
  • Builds commercially viable customer relationships
  • Develops KAM annual plans, execution and KPIs
  • Secures new product listing, promotion ROI, shelf placement and campaign execution which creates value for customers and Alcon 
  • Defines category strategy, plan and management 
  • Sells new KAM initiatives with impact 
  • Negotiates price and trade terms compliant to Alcon EMEA strategy
  • Finds ways of cooperation together with the ophthalmic clinics
  • Improves medical knowledge and delivers training together with Trade Marketing partner
  • Develops customer collaboration projects in line with Alcon Nordic strategies
  • Manages all communication between key stakeholders at the account and their counterparts in Alcon

The Candidate

The ideal candidate would have below: 

Professional Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in relevant subject 
  • Experienced and skilled in chain management and negotiation from FMCG / OTC segments
  • Experience from the customer groups is an advantage
  • Fluent in Swedish, English and Scandinavian
  • 5-10 years of Key Customer facing experience with track record of excellent sales results 
  • Value Management experience
  • Outstanding level of drive, outgoing personality and business mindedness 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others
